What to Expect at Your Initial Exam

What to Expect at Your Initial Exam

Your first appointment is 40 minutes. We'll spend time understanding your movement history, current pain points, and athletic goals. Dr. Castro will perform a hands-on assessment, testing your range of motion, palpating key structures, and identifying restrictions or imbalances. From there, we'll explain our findings clearly and begin treatment that same visit. You'll leave knowing exactly what's going on and what our plan is moving forward.

The Adjustment and Soft Tissue Work

The Adjustment and Soft Tissue Work

If an adjustment is part of your care plan, you'll experience Dr. Castro's strong, confident hands-on approach. We combine chiropractic manipulation with soft tissue therapy, Graston or Active Release Technique, to address both joint restrictions and muscle tightness. This integrated approach means you're not just getting cracked; you're getting a full assessment and multimodal treatment in one visit.

Follow-Up Visits Are Shorter

Follow-Up Visits Are Shorter

After your initial exam, follow-up visits are typically 20 minutes. You'll come in for your planned treatment, adjustments, soft tissue work, or stretching, without the full assessment overhead. This keeps the momentum going and lets us build on the foundation we set in visit one.

Insurance and Payment

Some insurances are accepted and will affect your out-of-pocket cost. We recommend calling us at (845) 620-0939 to verify coverage and ask about pricing before your visit. Payment is due at the time of service. If you have questions about cost or coverage, our team is happy to help.

Bring your insurance card if you have one, a photo ID, and any medical records or imaging (X-rays, MRIs) that are relevant to your current complaint. We'll also have you fill out a brief health history form when you arrive.
